Lactobotanical Peels in Sydney

Aspects Lactobotanical Peel Program in Sydney $300

Our Aspect Lactobotanical Peel Program is $300 and includes 3 peels and a skin preparation pack.

What is in a Lactobotanical Peel?

Chemical peels that combine lactic acid and a calming botanical are known as Lactobotanical Peels.

Lactic acid is an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid (AHA) derived from milk, which is combined with Canadian Willowherb (an anti-inflammatory) to create a unique peel with minimal downtime for recovery.

The combination of these ingredients will target the epidermis, breaking down the glue that holds the skin cells together. This enables a faster cell turn-over, resulting in a more youthful appearance to the skin as the healthier layers of skin are brought to the surface more quickly.

Who is suitable for a Lactobotanical Peel?

Lactobotanical Peels are suitable for most skin types. This type of peel can produce noticeable results for a variety of skin conditions, including sun damaged skin, aging skin, mild acne, congestion, dull or lifeless skin, and dehydration. This is also a great treatment to have prior to starting a course of more intensive peels. The Lactobotanical Peel prepares the skin for the more intense treatment by stimulating its regenerative and healing properties.

If you have an allergy to milk these peels may not be suited and we would choose a different peel for your concerns.

Lactobotanical Peels can be used in combination with other treatments to enhance the overall effect on the skin. Adjunctive therapies include medical grade skin needling, LED Light Therapy and Peptide masks. We highly recommend doing a course of LED treatments 2 weeks after each peel to maximise the results.

How do I prepare for a Lactobotanical Peel?

When you visit us for a consultation, we can help you to determine which type of peel would be the best fit for your skin and your goals. We will also explain what to expect after your peel, as aftercare is essential for a safe treatment.

The skin needs to be prepared with Aspect Dr home care for a minimum of two weeks prior to the first treatment. This skin preparation pack is included in the cost of the three-peel program.

How long does a Lactobotanical Peel take?

Your first visit will be around 45 minutes. This allows a full assessment and the first peel treatment. Each additional session takes about 20 minutes.

Is there any discomfort with a Lactobotanical Peel?

With a Lactobotanical peel there is a slight warmth sensation felt while the peel is on the skin. If you are suitable for a high strength percentage of this peel, there is moderate heat while the peel is on your skin but subsides once the peel is removed. Not everyone will feel heat but this does not mean that the peel has not worked. Remember, everyone has different skin and different levels of tolerance to sensations on the skin.

How often do I need a Lactobotanical Peel?

After our Dermal Therapist has assessed your skin, your lactobotanical peels will be scheduled every 2 to 4 weeks. This timing is dependent on what we are trying to achieve and will be fully discussed on your first visit. Once you have completed the 3-peel program another skin assessment is performed. You may be advised to have monthly peels if your concerns are still present. Otherwise, it is recommended to have maintenance peels every 3 months to keep your skin looking its best.

What is included in a Lactobotanical Peel program?

Programs begin with a thorough skin diagnosis. Our experienced dermal therapist will advise you if other skin care is needed to address your concerns.

The Aspect Lactobotanical Peel Program costs $300 and includes three peel treatments, an Aspect Dr Starter Pack for 2 weeks skin preparation, and aftercare advice. Individual peels are $120. The Starter pack without a program is $135 and is non-negotiable for our medical grade peels.

We highly recommend combining this peel with LED Light Therapy to boost your skin improvements. LED Light Therapy stimulates new collagen and elastin fibres and promotes blood flow for anti-aging properties. When combined with this peel, LED Light Therapy is only $50 per session (saving you $50 per session).

What is the procedure for getting a Lactobotanical Peel?

Lactobotanical Peels in Sydney begin with a comprehensive consultation with our experienced Dermal Therapist to assess your skin suitability and identify your concerns. A course of 3 Lactobotanical Peels is usually recommended, as a single peel is rarely effective at mitigating years of skin damage.

It is important to prepare the skin for 2 weeks prior to the first peel with Aspect Dr Skin Care to enable your skin to benefit from the peels and deliver the best results. The Aspect Dr Starter Pack is included in a 3 Peel Pack.

After each peel, your skin will be re-assessed, and we will adjust the strength of the peel as needed. Note: Stronger doesn’t equal better. After the course of 3 Lactobotanical Peels the skin is re-assessed again to determine if further treatments are required, or adjunctive therapies will be of greater benefit.
